eat is about a teacher with a kink for eating or being eaten (atypical vorephilia) and a student with a kink for eating others (also ...atypical vorephilia). i think theres a lot of symbolism involved and im really no good at symbolism but i try (Β΄-Ξ΅-ο½€) . where usually the predator eats the prey, gulla (a herbivore) is the one with a lot of if not most of the power in this situation. this is reinforced by the student teacher dynamic that is also flipped on its head. lufria is entirely helpless and at the hands of the people around him despite his position and species and even js attitude on the surface level. he has this illusion of control and choice but it becomes increasingly obvious that his autonomy is being stripped from him. this should sound familiar to his kink in the first place, the more danger he finds himself in, the less say he has in it, the more enthralled he is with it. its obvious rereading it from the start now that, even if that was not his intention at the forefront of his mind, lufria has gotten himself into this situation through his own actions. he is driven by selfish desire. so really i think, he has just as much control as anybody in a way. ok thats enough yapping, i really like this manga and i love all of nagabes work dearly!!!! i actually heard of this book when it released in a manga magazine, the review got me rlly intrested ( ‾́ β—‘ ‾́ )
